300 students graduated at the Silver Jubilee Convocation of ISBM
Pune: Education is the wealth of the future. India and the Government of Maharashtra are leading the country in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) with emphasis on research and innovation based education. By 2047, India is expected to be at the forefront of the world economically and socially. Students should contribute to the progress of the country. Considering the progress and quality of the institute, the government is considering positively giving it the status of a private university in the future. Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil said that a decision on granting university status to ISBM would be taken after the necessary academic criteria, infrastructure and quality standards are met.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the convocation of the International School of Business and Media (ISB&M), Pune, on the occasion of its 25th Silver Jubilee This year, about 300 students from the 2023-2025 batch graduated. The event, which celebrates the achievement, hard work and academic journey of the students, was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Dr. Pramod Kumar, Founder President of International School of Business and Media, Shekhar Mundada, Chairman, Maharashtra Cow Service Commission, Dr. Atul Kharate, Chief Executive Officer, Indian Oil Adani Ventures Ltd. were present on the occasion. Dr. Saroja Asthana, founder of Mulshi Group of Institutes, Dr. Bhishmaraj Srivastava, trustees of PEG were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrakant Patil said that by 2047, India will become the worlds leading nation in economic and social terms. Today, despite the worlds war and economic instability, India is moving fast towards becoming the worlds third largest economy. Education is not only a means of obtaining a degree but also an effective means of personality development, self-confidence and economic progress.
Praising the academic work of ISBM, he said that the institute has done remarkable work for industry oriented education, research, innovation and holistic development of students. ISBM has made a name for itself in the field of education and the government is positively considering giving it the status of a private university in the future considering the progress and quality of the institution. He said that a decision on granting university status to ISBM would be taken after the necessary academic criteria, infrastructure and quality standards are met. He also expressed confidence that this will provide students with world-class education, more research opportunities and international academic cooperation.
Dr. Pramod Kumar, while guiding the students, said that the convocation ceremony is an important stage in the life of the students. India is a country of opportunities and students should turn to entrepreneurship. He gave the message of Swami Vivekananda to the students: Get up, wake up and dont stop till you achieve your goal. Indias economic growth is strong despite global instability. Indian youth have the potential for innovation, entrepreneurship and global leadership.
Shekhar Mundada said, "Students should contribute to the development of their motherland even if they go to any country in the world for their future. Not only success in life but also service should be given importance No, therefore the place of the Guru is very important in life.
"India is making great progress in oil and gas, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors. Students like you will play a key role in building a developed India. India will lead the world in the near future," Dr. Atul Kharate said.
During the ceremony, various students were honored for their outstanding achievements. Sambhavi Swim was presented with the ISBM Nande Top Performer Award while Jaya Saini was honored with the ISBM Nande All Rounder Award. Abhiraj Singh Rathod presented the ISBM Nande Leadership Award.
