My MBA Journey: A Roller Coaster Ride

The first few weeks of my MBA life have truly been nothing short of a wild, unpredictable roller coaster  half exciting, half draining, and wholly unforgettable. Right from the very first day of my MBA journey, things turned sharply. The much-awaited orientation week wasn’t really an introduction; it was pure chaos, a teaser of what life at business school was about to be. Sprinting from one class to another, hardly finding time to catch my breath  let alone eat or sleep felt like being thrown straight into the storm of MBA student life. With new surroundings, unfamiliar faces, and the constant rush of deadlines, the initial days of this B-school experience felt overwhelming. Sleep quickly became a luxury, and learning to cope with the insanity of MBA struggles and challenges was the only option.

In the midst of the intense MBA student life, the much-awaited Goa trip with my MBA batch came as a welcome respite. A day and a half of freedom, laughter, and pure enjoyment felt like a fresh breath amid the chaos of B-school life. From dressing up and taking countless photographs to exploring Goa’s beaches and streets, the experience left us all rejuvenated and bonded even more as part of our MBA journey. But just as quickly as it came, the day passed, and the moment we returned to campus, the reality of MBA life picked up right where we left off.

The first day of classes struck me harder than I'd anticipated. The harsh reality of being in a B-school dawned upon me. Everyone was dressed in suits, and ready to go, while I was still trying to catch my breath. White dress shirts, stern faces, and the competition to get hands up first in class was daunting.

Then came FORZA, our star MBA cultural event and true endurance test. The rehearsals kicked off, and with them began the madness of B-school life. Days and nights started to merge, and sleep became a distant memory. If juggling MBA classes, assignments, and deadlines wasn’t hectic enough, we now spent countless hours rehearsing for performances, managing event organization, and somehow still showing up in class the next morning. The daily routine of MBA life was insane  there were nights we didn’t sleep at all, surviving only on caffeine, teamwork, and bursts of laughter as we ran from one meeting to the next.

We were picking up things that no textbook would ever do. Managing our time was not a theory anymore it was a way of life. Breakdowns, sobs in bathroom stalls, words of encouragement from batchmates, and the occasional bursts of laughter; this was life now. Pressure was there, but so was the growth.

From 4 AM MOMO runs to being scolded by seniors for being a minute late, all of it teaches something. Discipline, toughness, accountability and above all, the value of being present and offering your 100%, come what may.

This MBA experience, though only in its earlier stage, has already served to mold me into someone tougher, more centered, and much more resilient than I ever considered I might become. It's tiring, it's intense, and most importantly, it's merely just the starting point.
