GROUP SINGING

Get all prepped up to showcase the magic, music, melody, and thrill of your voice. We await you to make our minds rejoice as Crescendo'24 presents the group singing contest. Get ready to serenade your mind with some of the most peaceful melodies ever!

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• Minimum number of participants is 2. Maximum has no limit.
• The event consists of 2 rounds.
• Use of any derogatory terms, language, or signs is prohibited and will lead to direct elimination.
• The decisions made by the judges would be final and binding.
• The participants are requested to bring their own instruments and backing track. None will be provided by the college.
• Exceeding the time limit would lead to a deduction of points.
• In case of instruments, the participant would be given maximum 2 minutes to set the stage.
• The participants have to report 2 hour prior the event Participants are supposed to send their music/songs required for your singing performance on the following email ID with the given format: "NAME_EVENT NAME" on crescendo.media@isbm.ac.in
• The participants have to mail their tracks latest by 28th January,2024 in order to qualify.

ELIMINATION ROUND:

• The participants will have to come prepared with their performances & present the same.
• Time allowed to present the performance will be 2.5-3 minutes.
• Negative marking for any disobedience of rules and time limit.
• The participants are to sing a song of their choice.
• The decisions made by the judges would be final and binding.
• Only INSTRUMENTS are allowed. No backing track/audio will be permitted.

FINAL ROUND:

• The second round will be conducted 2nd February,2024.
• The participants have to sing on a particular theme which will be provided to the participants at the end of Day 1.
• No change in theme will be entertained.
• Time allowed to present the performance will be min :- 3 minutes and max :- 4 minutes.
• Instruments and backing track both are allowed.

The decision made by the judges will be final and binding.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:

• Tone Quality - Clarity, Focus, Consistency.
• Choice of song.
• Rhythm - Accuracy of notes, duration.
• Intonation - Pitch Accuracy.
• Technique - Range Control, Skill, Vocal Technique.

AWARDS:

The winner and 1st runner-up will be awarded with cash/kind prizes.
