In addition to our BBA/BBA(Computer Applications) degrees, ISB&M, Pune (Nande) offers an add-on professional programme in Media and Communication, i.e., Mass Communication, Advertising & Journalism to those desirous to make their career in media stream.

The World of Media, journalism and mass communication in general, is changing, driven by the spread of digital technology and social media. Media in all its forms now reaches into all our lives and studying a certificate media course at ISB&M COC will give you a well informed introduction to this complex, exciting and fast-changing world. These intensive and concentrated programmes are designed to align with students’ professional and personal lives, allowing the students to obtain advanced learning and practices, coupled with artistic commitments, in synchronization with the current global industry practices and their own desire to succeed in the new media playing field.

Seismic shifts in technology and consumption of media have created a wide range of opportunities for aspiring professionals from all backgrounds. Our industry-embedded faculty and professional staff are continually experimenting with new approaches and pushing the boundaries of media teaching, learning and practices.

Students are encouraged to try new approaches to their projects as they refine their creative voices and intensify their understanding and power of different medias and mediums.

During their programme period, students immerse themselves in designed media projects that include three distinctive fields and specialization:

  • Content, Graphics & Art for Print, TV, Cinema & Web Mediums
  • Productions for : TV, Radio, Web & Screen

The programmes are followed by high-intensity internships with top media companies in India and abroad followed by placement offers.

Highlights of Media Programme

  • The Media Program will be operated along with the BBA Program for 3 years in 6 Semesters. In Pune University BBA Program, a student is to do 36 courses in 6 Semesters. In the Media Program, a student will 24 courses in 6 semesters. We have tried to incorporate some contemporary topics in the curriculum.
  • The Media Program can be viewed as a standalone Program as it can be viewed by the recruiters or when a passing-out student will go for PG Programs in Media. It is also felt that the students will get benefit of getting dual certificates as far as their employability skills are concerned.
  • We kept in view the contents of the curriculum (like Broadcast & Print Journalism, TV Production, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Advertising and some basic general and personality development courses) and the flow of the courses in the Program.
  • Besides the Final Project in Semester VI, each course should have some small project to assimilate the learning of the course.

Lab Assignments and Practical programming practice on different Software

Platform

BBA (Computer Application) students learn about various development tools involved in creating application software, to inculcate various methodologies in automation. The curriculum also includes projects and practical along with the class room sessions. BBA (Computer Application) course introduces every student to the practical aspects of software developments, keeping in mind the needs and requirements of the clients.

Mentoring and Counseling

Each student will be assigned to a faculty who would be his/her mentor and counselor. Mentors will have continuous interaction with students. They would help students to clarify their doubts and concerns, guide them to discover their strengths and weaknesses and take corrective action and coach them in career planning and goals attainment.Live work-experience will be planned to develop workmanship among students.
