We realize the need to keep us contemporary to the changes constantly happening around us. The delivery of curriculum is of high standard and the learning methodology encourages students to undertake greater initiatives. In addition to giving them conventional inputs, we try to develop the mind set and the attitudes that are required today. Through our value based education, we strive to make our students responsive to societal issues. The institute possesses a vibrant and talented student community where students are actively involved and managing various events.

All these efforts are accomplished with the help of a highly qualified and dedicated team of faculty. We are confident that the students will do their best with their diligence and institutional activities.

The ISB&M institutes of the Peoples Empowerment group are solidly committed to providing a world class educational environment. That we are surely succeeding in our mission, is borne out by the excellent feedback that we are getting from the industry in terms of high placement records and the achievements logged by the ISB&M alumni not only in India, but also globally.

What makes an institute world class? Solid education, academics that is responsive to change, intellectual courage and socio-cultural relevance are the qualities to strive for in the run up to becoming top class. These are the very same attributes that we at ISB&M encourage and follow.

As the world economic focus shifts to Asia, Indian youth have an unprecedented opportunity before them. To make sure that these opportunities are effectively used, we feel that the need for producing inherently self-confident alumni is greater than ever before. We sincerely believe that our operating philosophy is aligned to this need. It will ensure that our students graduate into capable engineers with a sense of responsibility, professionalism, intellectual agility and a global outlook.

Communications and Signal Processing

Communications and Signal Processing research area at ISBM School of Technology is part of the E&TC department. The research activities of this field are focused around mathematical modelling, optimization and simulation of advanced signal processing algorithms for reliable signal transmission and reception in a variety of communication systems. The algorithm development in this area impacts, for example, how we communicate through cellular phones, Wi-Fi networks, the way we build intelligent and self organizing wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring, battlefield surveillance and healthcare.

Software Engineering, Simulation and e-Learning

Development of Management Information Systems, ERP implementation, Process definition, modelling and process management are key skills that this research area is building up. Gaming, simulation, animation and e-learning systems is another area that is supported on the back of research being carried out in software engineering, software architecture and latest development in web and computing technology.

Product Development, Manufacturing and Product Lifecycle Management

Research activities in this area centre around new product development strategies, processes and management, developments in manufacturing technology and the development of systems and processes for Product Lifecycle Management. Though the group draws mainly from Mechanical Engineering, it is surely evolving into a multi-disciplinary team involving electronics, computer, manufacturing, mechanical and management experts. R&D expertise is available in Digital Product Development, Simulation, CAD/CAM/CAE and PLM implementation.

Energy and Environment

This research area focuses on energy conservation, green technologies and smart urban systems. The consulting focus is on water resources and non-conventional energy sources and green technologies for urban systems development and pollution control in process industries.

New Materials and Process Technologies

The field of New Materials and Process Technologies encompasses the broad disciplines of physics, chemistry, biology and engineering by providing a platform for multidisciplinary activities across these fields. This research area effectively provides a bridge between bulk material & atomic or molecular structures. Materials like novel polymeric materials, nanomaterials for photovoltaic applications, and design and synthesis of advanced biomaterials and DNA for the treatment of human diseases are the focus of this field in ISBM School of Technology.

Bio-medical Engineering

It is a highly inter-disciplinary area bridging the areas of biology, medicine and engineering. The needs of healthcare are rising exponentially with time. Solutions are being sought that could provide more affordable and improved medication to patients, as well as more user friendly and effective tools for the healthcare providers. Faculty have expertise in the design and development of medical devices and equipment, joint and limb prostheses and biochemical synthesis. Capabilities of faculty who have expertise in other research areas are also being harnessed to provide better materials development, communication systems, software solutions and logistics for the biomedical industry.
