Every year a State Level seminar is being organized by the College under the QIP scheme of Savitribai Phule Pune University. On 17th of January 2015, seminar on ‘Impact of Social Media on Modern Business’ was organized in the College auditorium. The event was inaugurated by Dr Sanjay Kaptan, HOD Commerce and Research Centre, Savutribai Phule Pune University among other dignitaries present at the occasion. The seminar was designed for academicians, students and delegates. Highlights of the seminar was knowledge sharing about social media, theme exploration sessions followed by a panel discussions by learned speakers from the industry and academia. On January 15, 2016, State Level Seminar on “Skill Development” is scheduled to be conducted by the College in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Industrial visit is a part of course curriculum of Second year BBA students. Every year students go for industry visit to familiarize themselves about industrial processes from raw materials to the end product. After the visit students are assigned live projects under the guidance of teachers to provide them first hand exposure to business environs. In February 2015, visit to Mahabaleshwar based food processing unit called ‘MAPRO’ was chosen as industrial visit. Products of MAPRO Company are exported to over 100 countries across the World. In earlier years such visits were planned to different industries for the students.
A State Level Seminar was organized by the college in Feb 2013 on “Emerging trends in Entrepreneurship Development” under the QIP Scheme of University of Pune. The seminar was designed for Academicians / Students / Entrepreneurs and was aimed to provide a platform to share ideas and research results to motivate entrepreneurship. The event marked the presence of prominent personalities like Dr. Sudhakar Jadhavar, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, University of Pune; Dr. Sanjay Kaptan, HOD Commerce and Research Center, University of Pune; Dr. C. N. Rawal, Principal- BMCC, Pune and Mr. Abhishek Kawitkar, President- Tree Public Foundation, Pune.
An annual 2-Day HR Conference is held, where industry leaders are invited to discuss and debate on emerging trends in Human Resource with futuristic and contemporary themes. HR Conference for the last was held on 17th & 18th October 2014 and the topic was “HR Change and Transformation”. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Dileep N Deobagkar (former Vice Chancellor of Goa University).
At ISB&M, we invite several highly accomplished academicians, executives for guest lecture/seminar. We focus primarily on MNCs and Top Indian Companies. This helps students learn about executive talent, career planning and several of them could serve a role model to our students. Career building is a systematic and planned approach that must be learnt.

Media Pulse is an annual media seminar that is organized by media students. The event spans across two days with presence of top media stalwarts. In this event academic-industry partnership is encouraged with the students exploring the new change in the media business world which is ever changing.
It is an international event and also one of the biggest competitions in the World of downhill racing. The event was held in Bali, Indonesia during 2014 in which 250 racers from all over the globe participated. One of the racers, named Piyush Chavan, 18, who participated along with two other participants, all belonging to Pune, stood 16th in the Asia Pacific Downhill Challenge bringing laurels to the country as well as to ISB&M College of Commerce. He is our BBA first year student and has set up examples to others. In ISB&M College of Commerce, Pune, students of BBA, BCA and Media streams have full liberty and freedom to excel in their desired field if they have wish to show their acumen, talent, guts and miracle apart from their study. Outbound activity is the part of ‘Orientation Programme for Freshers’. Every year some new worth visiting place is selected to familiarize fresher for one day visit.
This year Media students visited Goa for photography camp of one week, where they learnt practical classes taken by Prof. Ashwini Kumar.
Learning process requires students to actively work on various events and life style related programmes. These programmes are entirely managed by students and they learn peer leadership, planning, budgeting, resource management and team work. Each year an extraordinary number of student- led activities both on and off campus like career treks, conferences, competitions, official get together, events and parties take place round the year to provide hands on and real world experience that enhance classroom learning and expand horizons.
Continuing its legacy of providing world class education, ISB&M provides to its students great opportunities to excel in social arena as well so that they develop their inner aspirations to succeed.
Transformation begins with the Orientation Programme which is organized for the new batch of students each year. It is usually a 3-day event that ends with an Outbound programme on the last day. The key objectives of the orientation programme are :
Glamour, fun, fierce competition and friendship builds spirited enthusiasm and passion as one experiences FORZA – Force, Zest, Attitude over two days. It is celebrated by students, faculty and alumni on July 23-24 every year. Students participate in the extravaganza that is considered tough battle field to be the most outstanding winner! Corporate or Corp Walk is the much-awaited event in FORZA.
The college encourages the students to participate in other colleges cultural fests with great zeal and fervor. Like earlier years, this year a contingent consisting of 20 students of BBA, BBA (Computer Application) and Media led by Prof. Tanmay Mehta participated in the much-awaited and much-talked youth festival called MOOD INDIGO organized by IIT, Bombay from 17 Dec to 22 Dec 2015.
CRESCENDO, the annual cultural extravaganza of ISB&M is one of the most awaited inter college fests. Crescendo is the perfect platform for young budding artists to showcase their talent in various competitive events. The event is thronged by prominent colleges and B-schools across the nation. The theme for CRESCENDO-15 was Glamour. This three-day national level soiree of event was held from January 30 to February 01, 2016. On the last day of Crescendo as per the customary, prominent artists are invited for live performance. On 01 February 2015, being last day of Crescendo, thousands of Puneites witnessed super and excellent live performance of noted singer, Ms Neha Kakkar. Some of the artists of earlier years were Lucky Ali, Atif Aslam, Sukhbir Singh, Neeraj Sreedhar, Javed Ali, Mohit Chauhan and Hard Kaur.
The days to remind every citizen of India should be prosperous and secure and be able to lead a life of dignity and self respect are celebrated with full dignity and honour. Flag hoisting marks the ceremony. Cultural and sports events are organized during these celebrations.
