ISB&M Kolkata offers undergraduate programme in the fields of both Business Management and Media Management. Each programme has been designed with many unique features which distinguish it from other degree courses. These are as follows:

  • On completion of the degree course, a student can opt for a job or may seek admission to our prestigious two-year Post Graduate Programmes (subject to ISB&M admission procedure which can vary from time to time etc.)
  • On applying for two year Post Graduate Programmes at ISB&M Pune (Viman Nagar), Kolkata & Gurgaon, ISB&M undergraduate students with
    • 70% marks and above in graduation from ISB&M will get direct admission.
    • 60% marks and above are exempted from written test and will get the GD & PI call letter.
  • Every year, the University prescribed courses and credits are supplemented by a number of courses (or workshops) designed and executed by ISB&M.
  • A highlight of the teaching at ISB&M is the emphasis on the development of workmanship for achieving excellence.

ISB&M School of Media Management has the distinction of being one of the first institutes of its kind in India offering niche media and communication programme with management orientation that addresses the needs of the rapidly changing media industry. Approach, Method & Pedagogy

The teaching and assessment methods at ISB&M aim at creating a participant-driven learning environment that encourage students to take greater initiative and responsibility for their learning.

Faculty uses multiple teaching methods:

Regular Classroom Training:

Focus will be on interactive teaching. Case analysis, role-play, business simulations and games, home assignments, quizzes, lectures and seminars form the core of the learning programme.

Events and Programmes:

ISB&M's learning programmes require students to actively work on various events and lifestyle related programmes. These programmes are entirely managed by students. Students learn peer leadership, planning, resource management and career value system.


Consist of study material prescribed by the University and supplemented by in-house literature.


We plan at least one workshop every month on personality development, soft-skills etc.

Guest Lectures:

Guest lectures by eminent corporate managers, consultants and academicians every month.

Project Assignments:

This will include live projects also.

Mentoring and Counseling:

Each student will be assigned to a faculty who would be his/her mentor and counsellor. Mentors will have continuous interaction with students. They would help students to clarify their doubts and concerns, guide them to discover their strengths and weaknesses to take corrective action and coach them in career planning and goals attainment.

Live work-experience will be planned to develop workmanship among students.
